Our Weekly Schedule
Haymarket Baptist Church has a host of activities during the week for all ages. We meet for worship on Sundays at 10:55 with Sunday School at 10:00. The rest of the schedule is as follows: SUNDAY 9:15 A.M. - Second and Fourth Sundays of the Month, Deacon-led Prayer Time, Sanctuary 9:45 A.M. - Adult Sunday School Assembly, Sanctuary 10:00 A.M.- Sunday School Classes 10:55 A.M. - Worship, Sanctuary WEDNESDAY 5:45 P.M. - Church-wide dinner (First Wedensday of the month September - May. Haymarket Baptist Church was born in 1894 out of the dream of twenty-eight members of our mother church, Antioch Baptist. The first church building, constructed at the present location, opened in 1895. The interior consisted of a sanctuary and three small classrooms. At various times, as the church grew, more facilities were added. As the community of Haymarket has experienced tremendous growth the past several years, the church is currently making plans for the expansion of both its sanctuary building and its ministry programming. Welcome to the Haymarket Baptist Church web site. We are delighted that you have dropped in. We hope that you will spend some time getting to know us.

One thing I would like you to know is my hope and vision for this church. Peter's declaration, quoted above, is that God wants to make a spiritual house out of this diverse group of Christians at Haymarket Baptist Church. I understand that to mean three things. It means that God wants to grow each one of us up into the fullness of the faith. It also means that God wants to knit us together more deeply in the bonds of Christian love. Finally, it means that God wants us to become more sensitive to the Spirit's leading in our life and ministry together.

A spiritually mature people; a spiritually connected people; a Spirit-led people - that's the substance of a spiritual house. That's my hope for this church.
