Sandy Hubler is a native Arkansan who grew up in Mountain Home. She states, "I have always been attracted to art. When I was a little girl my father nicknamed me Doodles, which stuck with me throughout his entire life. I would doodle on anything, books, papers, napkins, etc. I won my first art award of a $1.00 prize in the third grade for a drawing of a bouquet of flowers."
Sandy received an art scholarship to attend Arkansas State University. Studying with Evan Linquist in printmaking. After two years of college, she chose a career in cosmetology attaining her licenses and working as a beautician, later, she went to work with United Parcel Service where she began a 22 year career; first loading trucks, then becoming a delivery route driver and was later promoted to a Human Resource Manager. All the while, she so missed "art" being a part of her life, finally, she decided to pursue part-time art classes at ASU, studying with Roger Carlisle.

After leaving UPS, Sandy began pursuing her art full time. She met and married Rob Hubler. Together, they pruchased, The Showroom, a custom frame shop and art gallery, located in Little Rock, Arkansas. Sandy feels she owes much of her success with her art, to her late husband, Rob. Sandy states, "Rob supported my art so much. He allowed me to pursue my life time dream of becoming a full time artist. He was my biggest critic and my greatest fan. His love for me and my art were truely an inspiration and encouragement for me to become a better artist and to live each day as if it were my last."

Sandy paints primarily in oils on linen and canvas but will occasionally use soft pastels for a change of pace. She paints in a variety of subjects and says, "I don't want to limit myself from learning or experimenting with my art. My favorite subjects are landscapes, horses and the female nude. But, I have been known to paint an abstract and have fun with it. I prefer to paint outside as a "Plein Air Artist" for my smaller landscape paintings, I so love the beauty of natural settings. Some of my favorite landscapes are Spring and Fall in the Ozarks." Sandy also paints very large paintings ranging in several feet in size. These paintings are done in her home studio. She is always trying to match the perfect setting with the perfect canvas for the perfect painting.
Sandy's work has been shown throughout the Mid South area with numerous awards. Her work is currently displayed at The Little Rock Convention Center, the Arkansas Governor's Mansion and in numerous galleries in her home state of Arkansas, Mississippi, Florida and Oklahoma.

In addition to her painting, Sandy manages The Showroom where she exhibits and represents the works of several local artists as well as her own art. In her spare -time, she pursues her second love, horses. She competes in barrel races through out the Mid-south on her horses, Thumper, Favors and Sarge.

Sandy states, "I am so lucky, I do what I love and love what I do, what on this earth could be more fulfilling?"

All of the prices on the paintings include the frame of your choice. Prices can varry some due to type of framing you wish to have. You can add approximately 5 inches to all four side of the canvas to get the overall dimensions with a frame. I do accept Master Card, Visa and American Express. Depending on the size shipped, I ship with both Fed Ex and UPS.
