Advent Event/Parents Forum, Nov. 19
Parents and children are invited to a pre-holiday gathering on Friday evening, Nov. 19 at Christ Church. Well start with dinner at 6:30 pm and have a program from 7:00- 8:30 pm. Parents will discuss strategies for simplifying the holidays while kids make Advent wreaths and decorate angels for the Angel Tree. Childcare will be available for little ones. Parish Thanksgiving Dinner, Sunday Nov. 21
All are invited to a parish-wide Thanksgiving Dinner following the 10:30 service. Turkey and dressing are provided, and please bring a salad or dessert to share. This is a wonderful opportunity to gather and give thanks for the Christ Church community. Contact: Carol Lou Flowers
Downtown Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service, Nov. 23
Join us on Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 7 pm as we worship with our neighboring churches for Thanksgiving. Christ Episcopal Church, First United Methodist Church, and Second Baptist Church will celebrate Thanksgiving together this year at Christ Church. Our preacher will be Michael Mattox of First United Methodist Church. Music directors and choristers from all three congregations will participate in the evenings worship. Help us revive a wonderful old downtown Little Rock tradition of worship with our neighboring churches for Thanksgiving. Reception to follow the service. Contact: Scott Walters.
