This may be called Grand Openings, Open house, Get to know us, etc. Most retail businesses have 'sales'. Most of the time kids come with their parents and they can MAKE or BREAK a sale. Keep the kids busy with a MOONWALKER/ BOUNCER. Let the kids determine the discount by using a 'ring the bell' each number on the slide bar could be a % of discount such as 1% for the 1, 2% for the 2 and so on. Perhaps the WHEEL OF FORTUNE might be a better choice. MONEY MACHINES are always a big hit.
Corporations/businesses have sales and marketing training seminars. Management seminars which emphasis teamwork building and leadership development and workshops. Many families have yearly get together where family members from all over come together to visit and get to know new family members, from new babies to new spouses. It is also a good time to remember those who gone on, to share other changes, such as jobs, schools/colleges, military service, as well as just to catch up on all the news about other family members that are not present and friends of the family. The food is plentiful, the companionship is wonderful, AND AFTER A COUPLE OF HOURS, THE KIDS ARE BORED!!! Now out comes `the computer games' or "when are we leaving?", "How much longer?" etc.

CIVIC CLUBS, NPOS (non profit organizations), RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS. HOSPITALS, SCHOOLS, SCHOOL CLUBS, PTA AND PTOS, BIKE RALLIES, CAR SHOWS, BOY SCOUTS, GIRL SCOUTS, CANCER SOCIETIES, HEART AND LUNG ASSOCIATIONS, SPECIAL NEEDS GROUPS,…ETC….. Too many other groups to list here.

All have wonderful programs to help people and each group must raise funds to pay for these projects. The question then becomes how to raise these funds. Asking for donations, selling candy, cookies, discount coupons books and many other items have been used to raise these funds. Most of these use our friends, family, fellow workers and neighbors as the purchaser. The old idea of 'I buy from you then you buy from me!!! We've all done it.

FUNDUNK has something different in mind. Rent items like MOON WALKERS/BOUNCERS, DUNKING BOOTHS, SPEEDBALL, SPIN ART and the JAIL, just to name a few (see fund raising tab to see others). Raise those funds in a one or two day event. Festivals, fairs and special events bring together large numbers of people that are there to have fun and they are willing to pay for that fun... Why not keep the 'profit' in the community, instead of watching it leave the community when the event is over.
