Teen Challenge of Arkansas is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to biblicallyeducate men 18 and older with life-controlling problems. This is accomplished through educational programs that are Biblically sound and highly structured.

We offer a residential program for adult males ages eighteen and older. It takes a minimum of fourteen months to complete the program. The first four months are spent at Teen Challenge of Arkansas, located just outside of Hot Springs. This is called the induction phase. The remaining ten months are spent at Mid-America Teen Challenge in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. This is the training phase. Depending on an individuals determination andabilities, the program could take longer than fourteen months to complete.

The approach used by Teen Challenge is Bible based, and is administered by credentialed ministers. Aspects of this approach include attention to the spiritual well being and wholeness of the individual, setting goals of moral and ethical excellence, physical work and responsibility, emotional health and stability, and a caring community of peers in a non-destructive environment. The program is non-medical and non-clinical.

In 2003, Teen Challenge of Arkansas received the Greater Hot Springs Organization of the Year Award by the Chamber of Commerce. Teen Challenge of Arkansas is extremely involved in the community; donating hundreds of hours of community service each year.

Teen Challenge of Arkansas is a Certified program of the National Teen Challenge Corporation, headquartered in Springfield, Missouri. The program is governed by an independent Board of Directors. Teachers are certified to teach the National Teen Challenge Curriculum by the National Teen Challenge Curriculum Committee.

Teen Challenge of Arkansas is a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation approved by the state of Arkansas, and is a member in good standing and approved by the Evangelical Council of Financial Accountability (ECFA).
