Stateside Legal to Launch at White House Event
Created for military personnel, veterans and their families, the Stateside Legal Web site, www.statesidelegal.org, will officially launch on Friday, November 19, 2010, as part of the "Closing the Justice Gap for America's Working Families" event, which will take place at the White House.
Vice President Biden, Attorney General Eric Holder, Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis, Senior Counselor for Access to Justice Professor Laurence Tribe, Secretary of Veterans Affairs General Eric Shinseki and other senior administration officials and representatives from the Access to Justice Initiative, Veterans Affairs, and Housing and Urban Development will be in attendance. Legal Aid of Arkansas Opens Offices in Rogers, Springdale
Legal Aid of Arkansas is pleased to announce the opening of two new offices in northwest Arkansas. The office in Rogers is located at 1200 West Walnut St., Suite 3211 of the Center for Nonprofits building, and the Springdale office is located in the Center for Nonprofits at 614 E. Consulate of the Republic of the Marshall Islands opened its doors to members of the Marshallese community and Legal Aid of Arkansas on September 14th. Marshall Islands citizens came to meet representatives of Legal Aid and receive help on legal issues. Legal Aid can provide extended legal services or give legal advice on most civil legal issues.
