The University of Tennessee Cancer Institute provides general oncology care and consultations for difficult cases. All clinics have facilities for administration of chemotherapy. Specialized multidisciplinary clinics bring doctors from different disciplines together to provide medical, surgical and radiotherapy care to the patient in a single geographic area. Emergency care for patients with acute leukemia or aplastic anemia is available through the inpatient hospitalist service, and specialists are available for autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation.
