Practice Before Riding Clipless When you upgrade to clipless pedals, dont immediately hit the road or trail. Instead, spend fifteen minutes or so getting used to the entry and release action of the pedals. To do this, just straddle the bike and click your right foot in and out many times. Then repeat with your left foot. The idea is to train the muscle memory so that when youre actually riding, your feet will move the right way when you need to get them out of the pedals. A little practice before you ride goes a long way towards preventing a fall.
